Truck owners� strike not justified: Nuvoco Vistas management

Jamshedpur: The strike called by the truck owners� association against Jojobera Cement Plant of Nuvoco Vistas Corporation Limited is not justified. The demand for hike in the freight charges is also not justified as the rate of payment for carriage of goods was fixed after due consultation with transporters and is as per the standards of cement industry. This was said by a company spokesperson in a press statement issued on Thursday.

The company statement further said, �We do not directly deal with truck drives. The transactions are done through transporters. We have already informed the local administration about the strike. Legal action would be taken against those trying to hamper company�s normal business.�
