Tributes paid to Jharkhand jawans killed by avalanche

Jamshedpur, April 9: BJP Bistupur unit on Sunday paid tributes to three Jharkhand jawans who were killed in an avalanche in Jammu and Kashmir’s Batalik on Friday, at the condolence meet held near Postal Park in Bistupur.

The meet was headed by unit president Sur Ranjan Rai where party workers and locals lit candles and prayed for the peace of the departed soul.

The martyrs Havildar Prabhu Shayu Kirke, 43, of Semna Village in Jharkhand’s Ranchi district, Lance Naik Bihari Marandi, 34, of Ramnathpur village in Jharkhand and Sepoy Kuldeep Lakra, 22, of Bishakha Tanga village under Ranchi tehsil were paid respect where people said that it is due to the jawans that common people of the country are safe.

Present on the occasion were Rajesh Shukla, Nandjee Prasad, Chandrasekhar Mishra, Bhupendra Singh, Hari Kishore Tiwary, Anil Modi, Reeta Mishra, Sujit Srivatsav, Tajkumar Shah, Maheshwar Pratap Singh, Neeru Singh and others.
