Jamshedpur, April 21: A tribute ceremony was held on Monday at the Sreeleathers showroom in Bistupur to commemorate the 114th birth anniversary of late Suresh Chandra Dey, renowned industrialist and freedom fighter, and the visionary founder of Sreeleathers. Members of the Sreeleathers family, along with several dignitaries from the city, participated in the event.

Shekhar Dey, partner at Sreeleathers and son of the founder, paid homage to his father, reflecting on his legacy. “The dream that our father envisioned in Sakchi in 1952 has today grown into a robust business structure. Sreeleathers is not just a brand, but a source of livelihood for millions,” he said.

He further emphasized the company’s ongoing efforts to expand nationwide while maintaining a focus on quality and affordability, in line with the founder’s vision.
The event began with a patriotic song performed by schoolgirls. Attendees then offered floral tributes at the statue of Suresh Chandra Dey.

Among those present included Jyotsna Dey, Barun Dey, Meera Sharma, Preetilekha Roy, Bhaskar Mitra, Surojit Chatterjee and P.K. Nandi.
Sreeleathers has established a strong presence in Jharkhand, Bihar, Odisha, West Bengal, Tamil Nadu, Uttar Pradesh and Delhi, and is currently working on expansion plans in other states.
