Ghatshila, Dec 8: Eminent Bollywood filmmaker, Dr Iqbal Durrani was present as the chief guest at a cultural programme organized by All India Sarna Dharma Chemet Asra in Jhordih of Mayurbhanj district. A huge number of spectators including Mukhiyas from Bihar, Bengal, Odisha participated in the program.
Iqbal Durrani who was mesmerized by the cultural presentation at the event said, “I can assure you that surnames like Tudu, Soren and others will be flashed in Bollywood films. Film lovers and connoisseurs would get a new brand of socio-cultural delights from the land of Jharkhand once the web series is launched. Forty percent of my tribal family will perform in this series.”
Kanhu Ram Tudu, vice-president of the institution and village head of Lakhidih, played the flute tune that impressed Dr Iqbal Durrani who said that the flute tune would find a pride of place in the web series on Ghatshila. The producer of the web series, Santosh Kumar Saras said that the local people would get a chance to come forward through this web series. The guests were welcomed with traditional drum beats and flowers. President of the organization, Shambhu Murmu, Vice President Kanhu Ram Tudu and General Secretary Chakradhar Hembram also spoke on the occasion.
