Trial run of Tata-Berhampur Vande Bharat Express on September 8

Jamshedpur, Sept 6: Vande Bharat Express train, set to operate between Tatanagar in Jharkhand and Berhampur in Odisha, is all set for its trial run on September 8. The South Eastern Railway has confirmed this schedule, marking a significant milestone in improving travel comfort for passengers between the two states.

Trial run confirmed for September 8

According to the South Eastern Railway, the trial run for the Tata-Berhampur Vande Bharat Express will commence on September 8, with the train departing from Tatanagar and covering the journey to Berhampur in 9 hours and 10 minutes. For the return trip, the train will take 8 hours and 55 minutes.

Official launch on September 15

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is expected to flag off the Tata-Berhampur Vande Bharat Express during an official launch event on September 15 in Jamshedpur. This will mark the introduction of the 63rd Vande Bharat train in the country.

Jharkhand to get three Vande Bharat Trains

On September 15, Jharkhand will get three Vande Bharat trains. These trains will connect Tatanagar to Patna, Tatanagar to Berhampur, and Deoghar (Baidyanath Dham) to Varanasi (Baba Vishwanath). The racks for the Tata-Berhampur Vande Bharat train have already arrived in Jamshedpur in preparation for the launch.

Probable Timings and Stops

The proposed timetable for the Tata-Berhampur Vande Bharat Express has been released. The train will depart from Tatanagar at 5:20 AM and is expected to reach Berhampur at 2:30 PM. The return journey will begin at 3:00 PM from Berhampur, with an expected arrival in Tatanagar at 11:55 PM.

The train will have scheduled halts at key stations along its route. It will stop at Chaibasa at 6:10 AM, Dangoaposi at 7:00 AM, and Banspani at 7:43 AM, Nayagarh at 8.30 AM, Kendujhargarh at 8.54 AM, Harichandanpur at 9.34 AM, Jakhapura at 10.35 AM, Cuttack at 11.23 AM, Bhubaneswar at 11.57 AM, Khurda Road at 12.17 PM, Balugaon at 01.37 PM en route to Berhampur, with a brief two-minute halt at each station.

PM Modi to flag off four new trains

Jamshedpur, Sep 6: Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to flag off four Vande Bharat trains on September 15. Among these, two will originate from Tatanagar Railway Station, with services to Patna and Berhampur. The other two routes include Deoghar to Varanasi (Baba Baidyanath Dham to Vishwanath Dham) and Dumka to Ranchi.

Preparations are in full swing, with two pairs of Vande Bharat trains already arriving at Tatanagar for trial runs and washing. Timings for all four trains have been finalized.

The upcoming launch is accompanied by heightened security measures at Tatanagar, in anticipation of the Prime Minister’s arrival. Special arrangements are being made for the event, with continuous coordination between the railways and the Jamshedpur district administration. Deputy Commissioner Ananya Mittal and Senior Superintendent of Police Kishore Kaushal have reviewed the security and logistical arrangements.

Jamshedpur MP Bidyut Baran Mahto emphasized the significance of these new services, highlighting that the Tata-Patna and Tata- Berhampur routes will greatly benefit passengers traveling to Bihar and Odisha.
