Jamshedpur, Sep 19: TRF employees came out in large numbers on voluntary basis, on September 18 and 19, 2014, in support of Parivartan, launched by the District Administration and Jamshedpur Police, to conduct road safety awareness campaigns.
The campaigns were held at two different locations in the vicinity of the TRFs works and residential colony, with the help of local administration and police and the students of Valley View School.
They stopped traffic violators on the road and counseled them about consequences of unsafe driving, the community and their family. The employees distributed handbills on road safety to the commuters with the objective of informing them of some of the basic does and donts while driving.
The children of Valley View School performed a nukkad natak that helped to make the awareness drive on road safety even more impactful.
Employees also volunteered to help cycling by contactor workers commuting safer by counselling them and making them aware about some of the basic rules of safe cycling.
Employees pasted radium stickers on the same so that they could be easily spotted by oncoming vehicles from a distance and thus making their commuting, especially after sunset, less risky.
