Jamshedpur, August 17: A mass plantation drive was held at Vijay Green Earth Dimna Road Colony premises on Wednesday.
Headed by Dr. Nagendra Singh around 100 saplings were planted in the colony premises. Earlier the plantation drive was inaugurated by Dr. Singh and his wife. Later other people of the area along with women and children planted saplings.
On the occasion Prem Prakash, Gopal Chandra Tiwary, Jay Prakash Rai, B Das, Pavan Singh, SN Jha, CK Dutta, MP Singh, Sanjeev Sharan, Mintu Banerjee, Kripal Kaur, Mamta Ojha, Ragini rai, Madhu Singh, Sampa Mohanty and others also planted saplings.
This was followed by cultural programme were painting, patriotic songs competition, debate and quiz competition were organised.
