Ranchi, Nov 22: In the aftermath of the Uttarkashi Tunnel accident, where 41 laborers, including many from Jharkhand, are trapped, the Jharkhand government has decided to airlift them to the state after they are safely rescued. The workers, hailing from various states including Jharkhand, Uttar Pradesh, and Bihar, are currently engaged in a life-and-death battle inside the tunnel in Silkyara, Uttarkashi district, Uttarakhand.

Expressing concern over the safety measures in tunneling work, Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren emphasized the need for special attention to avoid such incidents. He empathized with the mental stress faced by the trapped individuals and their families, stating that food alone is insufficient for survival in such traumatic situations. The Chief Minister highlighted the ongoing rescue efforts in Silkyara, with representatives from the Jharkhand government actively participating in the operation.
