465 ltrs of spurious liquor recovered after raid in Jamshedpur

Jamshedpur, November 22. The Excise Department has raided Bhuiyandih colony under Sitaramdera police station and exposed an illegal mini liquor factory.

Around 464.76 liters of spurious liquor has been recovered in the raid. After the campaign launched recently against illegal liquor, the police and excise department have started action. On Tuesday, the Excise Department raided Bhuiandih Basti under Sitaramdera police station and exposed an illegal mini liquor factory running there. Along with this, one person has been arrested.

It is alleged that spurious liquor was filled in liquor bottles of different brands. After reports in local media, the Excise Department team took this action on the instructions of the Assistant Commissioner of Excise. In this, bottles of Night Girl Whiskey, Old Monk Rum, McDowell, Royal Stag and other liquors sold in Arunachal Pradesh were recovered. During this, the arrested accused told during interrogation that the kingpin of this business is Deepak Yadav.

A case was registered against the arrested accused and Deepak Yadav and the arrested accused was sent to judicial custody. On the instructions of Assistant Commissioner Excise Jamshedpur against illegal liquor, a raid was conducted on the residential building of Bhuiyandih Basti and an illegal mini liquor factory running in the room was exposed. Empty bottles of different brands, large quantities of stickers for pasting on bottles, lids, fake labels, fake corks and other items were recovered from the spot.
