Trains to Run Late at Tatanagar Railway Station Due to Maintenance Work

Jamshedpur: Passengers travelling by long-distance trains passing through the Chakradharpur Rail Division are likely to face inconvenience between May 12 and May 16 due to scheduled Non-Interlocking (NI) work at Rupsa Yard under the Kharagpur Division.

According to railway officials, the maintenance work is essential for ensuring safe and efficient train operations, but it will temporarily disrupt the normal movement of several trains. As a result, prominent services including the Neelanchal Express and Rajdhani Express trains will run behind schedule.

The Anand Vihar Terminal–Puri Neelanchal Express departing on May 12 will be delayed by approximately 90 minutes from its scheduled time. Similarly, the Bhubaneswar–New Delhi Rajdhani Express will depart from Bhubaneswar on May 14 and 15 with a delay of around one hour. The New Delhi–Bhubaneswar Rajdhani Express scheduled for May 16 will run two hours late from its originating station.

Railway authorities have indicated that due to these delays at the originating stations, the trains will also arrive late at key stations under Chakradharpur Division, including Tatanagar.

Passengers have been advised to check the real-time status of their trains before commencing their journey. The railways have urged travellers to use the NTES app or dial the railway inquiry number 139 for updated information.

Officials have appealed for public cooperation, stating that the temporary inconvenience is necessary to facilitate infrastructure upgrades and enhance overall rail safety.
