Jamshedpur: A four day training camp for rural women of 18 year to 40 year age started at Paryavaran Chetna Kendra auditorium in Potka on Monday.
It is being organized by SEEDS, Jamshedpur in a bid to ensure the success of national literacy and Digital India plans of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
On the first day, the participants were given lessons on language, arithmetic, Panchayati Raj, making signature and ways of opening bank accounts.
Those trained at the camp will teach other women and spread awareness in the villages, said the organizers.
In East Singhbhum, the campaign has been launched in 14 villages of Mosabani block while in Seraikela-Kharsawan, the campaign has been launched in 16 villages.
The trainers included Prabha Thakur, Ravindra Ghosh and Anil Mahato.
