Several trains to be diverted
Jamshedpur , June 3 : Movement of several trains in Chakradharpur divison of South Eastern Railway (SER) would be affected on June 8 and 9 due to installation work of a girder between Bhilai Nagar and Raipur in South East Central Railway.
Railway officials said the traffic-cum-power block which would start on June 8 at 11 pm and continue till 9 am on June 9 would also affect movement of goods train.
The Tata-Itwari Passenger train will be short-terminated at Bilaspur on June 8. The return train will leave for Tatanagar from Bilaspur the next day. The Jharsuguda-Gondia Passenger train would be short-terminated at Raipur on June 8. The return train will leave from Raipur instead of Gondia, the next day. The Shalimar- LTT Express and a couple of other express trains would run on a diverted route.
The Tata-Patna South Bihar Express will be short terminated at Raipur on June 8. The train will leave for Patna the next day from Raipur. The Tata-Chhapra( Dn) Express will run on a diverted route on way to Tatanagar railway station. The train is likely to be delayed by more than an hour because of route diversion.
A spokesperson of Chakradharpur railway division said all important stations in Chakradharpur division have been directed to make necessary announcements about the traffic-cum-power block in advance, for the convenience of passengers.
�The passengers must plan their journey accordingly. The movement of trains would be restricted due to work.Normal train services would be restored soon,� noted an official.
The Tatanagar station assumes importance in view because it is located on the Howrah-Mumbai main route. Several important trains travel via Tatanagar, including the high-profile Rajdhani Express and Duronto Express. The station sees a daily traffic of 90 mail, express and passenger trains, besides a footfall of more than 60,000 passengers.
