Train services from Tatanagar disrupted, several cancelled, diverted

Jamshedpur, Aug 17: The South Eastern Railway has announced significant disruptions to several trains originating from or passing through Tatanagar, citing operational adjustments. The changes, in effect across multiple dates in August, involve cancellations, diversions, and rescheduling of services, potentially causing inconvenience to passengers.

According to railway officials, the Tatanagar–Hatia Express (18601) will be diverted on August 22 via Chandrapura, Giridih, Govindpur Road, and Muri. The Buxar–Tata Express (18184) will depart 90 minutes late from Buxar on August 24. Meanwhile, the Barddhaman–Hatia–Barddhaman MEMU (13503/13504) will be short-terminated at Gomoh on August 19, 21, and 22, suspending services between Gomoh and Hatia. The Jagannathpur–Dhanbad Express (18019/18020) will run only up to Bokaro Steel City from August 18–22 and again on August 24, leaving the Bokaro–Dhanbad section without service.

MEMU passenger services are also affected. The Adra–Waa–Adra MEMU (68077/68078) will remain cancelled from August 18–24, while the Asansol–Adra–Asansol MEMU (68046/68045) will be cancelled on August 24. Additionally, the Tata–Asansol–Barabhum MEMU (68055/68060) will be short-terminated at Adra on August 19, cutting service between Adra and Asansol.

“Passengers are advised to check the official railway website or helpline for real-time updates before planning their travel,” a South Eastern Railway spokesperson urged.
