Train movement disrupted as trees fall on rail tracks

Chakradharpur, May 18: The smooth operation of trains has been severely affected following a powerful storm that struck Sonua railway station on Thursday afternoon. Numerous trees fell onto the rail track during the sudden and strong gusts of wind resulting in the complete blockage of both the up and down lines. As a result, train services have come to a halt in the affected area. Railway workers are currently engaged in clearing the track by removing the fallen trees. Railway officials said that the train services would start after the task of clearing the trees from the tracks was completed.
