Jamshedpur, Feb 28: In view of the upcoming Founder’s Day celebrations and the festival of Holi, the district administration has announced significant traffic restrictions across Jamshedpur from March 3 to March 5.
As per the joint order, the movement of heavy vehicles will remain completely prohibited in the city during specified hours to ensure smooth traffic flow and public safety.
On March 3, all types of heavy vehicles will be barred from operating between 3 PM and 12 midnight.
On March 4, the restriction will continue from 6 AM to 12 midnight, during which heavy vehicles will not be allowed to ply within city limits.
On March 5, heavy vehicles—except buses—will remain prohibited from 3 PM till midnight.
The directive has been jointly issued under the signatures of Deputy Commissioner Karn Satyarthi, Senior Superintendent of Police Piyush Pandey, and Traffic DSP Neeraj Kumar.
Authorities have urged transporters and commuters to comply with the temporary regulations to facilitate orderly celebrations and avoid inconvenience during the festive period.
