Traffic police trained to tackle accident victims, given first-aid kits

Jamshedpur, July 13: East Singhbhum Red Cross Society in collaboration with the Traffic Training School organized a one-day training camp for 30 traffic police personnel.

They were given first aid kits & were informed on primary support in case of accidents. The event was organized at the Sakchi Red Cross Bhawan upon the request of Inspector cum trainer at Traffic training school P.K.Sahoo. Here safety instructions were given by the society’s trainer P.K.Chatterjee.

Red Cross society’s honourary secretary Vijay Kumar said,”Life is the most precious thing on earth. It is important to make effort to save it by means of first aid. The traffic police play a vital role as a precursor step for help & reduce the risk of disaster to minimum.” He also insisted them to understand the sensitivity of the situation & act their best to save the victims.

Inspector P.K.Sahoo said,”The role of the policemen can be more effective if they have a better knowledge of first aid. This informative session will enable them to act in a much better way in case of accidents.”

The programme also saw special presence of Red Cross Patron D.K.Mitra and Vice-patron D.K.Ghosh, joint secretary T.B.Dutta. Important roles in training were played by Kumaresh Hazra, Ramesh, Shweta, Rumana, Seema, Sumit, Vishal, Radha, Sheetal, Suman, Richa, Sonam, Neelkanth, Sunny and Subhash.

Before the commencement of the programme a 2 minute condolence was observed as a tribute to Martyr Kishan Kumar Dubey.
