Traffic curbs announced in Jamshedpur due to PM Modi’s visit, key roads closed

Jamshedpur, Sep 14: Preparations are in place for Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to Jamshedpur on September 15.

He will conduct a road show in Bistupur and participate in two events.

Extensive traffic control measures are in effect from Sonari Airport to Bistupur and Jugsalai to Tatanagar Railway Station to facilitate his visit. Barricades and drop gates have been installed at numerous locations, causing significant traffic disruptions impacting daily commuters from 8 am to 1 pm. The Bistupur Main Road will be closed, causing potential disruptions for those traveling through the area.

Key routes, including the road from Sonari Airport to Tatanagar Railway Station, will remain closed during this period. Alternative routes have been arranged for participants attending the Prime Minister’s event, and specific parking facilities have been designated to manage the influx of visitors.

For those heading to Tatanagar Railway Station, parking will be available at Bagbeda School Ground, with VIP and VVIP parking situated across the road near the station. Additional parking has been organized near Bagbeda Central School and Parsudih Bazar Samiti, and arrangements at Gopal Maidan have also been made for attendees.

In preparation for the Prime Minister’s roadshow, Bistupur Main Road has been fully closed to ensure safety. Various community representatives will be present along the route to welcome the Prime Minister, with stages set up along the road for the occasion.

Areas to be affected include: Behind Kadma Airport: All roads in this area will be blocked; LIC Ground to Flat Morh: Both sides of the road will be closed; Kadma Link Road Roundabout: Blockades will be in place on both sides coming from Rankini Temple; Hill View Road: Road closures will affect this entire stretch; Park Road: Barricades will be set up throughout the length of this road; Kadma-Sonari Link Road: The area near CH Circle will be closed 50 meters inside from the Sonari direction; Marine Drive: At Circuit House Roundabout, access will be restricted 50 meters inside from both directions; Jubilee Park: Restrictions will be placed on the road leading to the park, 50 meters inside from the Circuit House Roundabout; Beldih Road: Both sides of the road leading to Beldih will be blocked 50 meters inside; Beldih School Area: Both sides of the road near Beldih School will be closed 50 meters inside; Straight Mile Road: Traffic will be restricted at the Jusco Roundabout; TMH Roundabout: Barricades will be in place on both sides; Garmanala Main Road: Near Canara Bank and Talwar Building, access will be blocked; From Regal to Kadma: The road opposite Reliance and Bistupur Police Station will be closed; Kadma Road: The road near the showroom will be barricaded; Kabiria School Area: Blockades will be installed near the roundabout in front of the school; Narbheram School: The road towards the school will be restricted; Shabhu Pan Shop Roundabout: Traffic will be blocked near ICICI Bank and surrounding areas; Women’s College Road: Restrictions will be in place in front of Tulsi Bhawan Chowk; Kharkai Bridge: Both roads coming from Saraikela will be closed; PM Mall to Voltas Morh: Both roads will have restricted access; Bistupur Chamber Bhawan: Traffic will be restricted around this area; Nataraj to Bistupur Chhappan Bhog: Access will be blocked near Nataraj Petrol Pump; Kamani Center and Chhaganlal Chowk: Roads near Kamani Center and Bistupur Chhaganlal Chowk will be closed; Tempo Stand to Sachdeva Sales: Road access will be restricted on Q Road Alankar Chowk and Bistupur HP Petrol Pump; Jugsalai Areas: Roads near Kunwar Singh Chowk, Hotel Ashoka, Kali Mandir Chowk, and Sankata Singh Petrol Pump will be closed; Railway Over Bridge: Restrictions will be enforced on both sides; Bagbera and Golpahari: Road access will be blocked at the Golpahari turn and the square before Parsudih Police Station; Motorists and commuters have been advised to plan their journeys accordingly and use alternative routes to avoid delays and disruptions.
