Jamshedpur, Feb 20: In view of the ongoing preparations for Founder’s Day, the Jubilee Park gate has been closed till 7th March. As a result, the traffic pressure has shifted to the Straight Mile Road and the roads leading to it.
All vehicles to Sonari, Kadma, Bistupur, Station and Adityapur are now passing through the main road passing through Red Cross Bhavan, Baug-e-Jamsheed and Rajendra Vidyalaya. The sudden surge in the number of vehicles on the said road is causing traffic jam every day, especially early morning.
A large number of school vans, cars and two-wheelers ply through this busy road, making it difficult for commuters to reach their destination on time.
In a bid to relieve the citizens, traffic police jawans have been deputed on duty near the Baug-e-Jamsheed roundabout.
Sakchi police and Tiger Mobile jawans are also assisting traffic cops in removing traffic jam.
