Jamshedpur, April 26: Members of Singhbhum Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI) handed over a memorandum addressed to Jharkhand Governor Ramesh Bais and Chief Minister Hemant Soren to the Deputy Commissioner of East Singhbhum on Tuesday.
SCCI president Vijay Anand Moonka said the traders have decided to stage a peaceful demonstration before the Jamshedpur Collectorate tomorrow from 3.45 pm to 5 pm to protest against the 2 per cent agricultural market tax levied by the Jharkhand government. He said the local trade and commerce bodies are opposed to the government decision from the day the Bill was passed to this effect. All trade and commerce bodies have been requested to join the protest, he said.
