Baharagora: The 195th birth anniversary of Arya Samaj founder Swami Dayanand Saraswati was celebrated at the TPS DAV Public School here. Prayers and flower offerings before the portrait of Dayanand Saraswati were the inaugural proceedings to the celebrations.
Std VII student Punam Mahapatra narrated the initial life and contribution of the saint to the social and religious stream of the nation. Teacher S Goswami spoke on the philosophy and the life and practices of Dayanand Saraswati that continue to shine as a beacon light in society.

Principal Anup Kumar asked students to follow the life and examples of the Arya Samaj founder and serve the country. His principles and philosophy are followed by the DAV institution to motivate students to serve the country through various streams of life.
Std I student Prem Kumar came in the getup of Swami Dayanand Saraswati.
All teachers and students were present during the function.
