Jamshedpur, March 6: The department of dentistry at Tata Main Hospital (TMH) in collaboration with the Indian Dental Association (IDA), Jamshedpur Chapter, celebrated the World Dentist Day at TMH on Sunday.
The event was inaugurated by GM, Medical Services, Tata Steel, Lt. Gen. (Rtd.) Dr G.Ramdas, Dr. SP Mishra, registrar of Jharkhand Dental Council, and Dr Warren, President, IDA Jamshedpur.
The �Continue Dental Education Program� was organized for basic life support by Dr Shashi Kant and his team from the anesthesia and critical care department of Tata Main Hospital. Delegates were also trained to perform CPR on patients at the time of cardiac arrest.
A panel discussion was also organized on medical emergencies like severe allergic reaction, fainting, seizures, asthmatic attack in dentist chamber.
The panelists included Dr Bhagyalaxmi (physician), Dr Shashikant (critical care specialist) Dr Sebastian (maxillofacial surgeon) and Dr. Angshuman Bhattacharya from Kolkata along with a practical demonstration on the use of the DenLife Emergency kit.
