Team Republican Challenge launches cleanliness drive

Jamshedpur, March 6: Team Republican Challenge launched a unique cleanliness drive by painting the walls to make the citizens aware of the need for cleanliness and hygiene.

As a part of their campaign, the members painted the boundary wall of MGM Hostel in Sakchi, which remains filthy as locals of the area throw their garbage there.

Members of the team reached the place on Sunday morning and cleaned up the area by picking up filth and threw it in the nearby dustbin. The team members also spread bleaching powder and made beautiful paintings to urge the citizens to throw the garbage in garbage bins and keep the city clean and healthy.

Vishwajeet Prasad, custodian of the team, said there is an urgent need of garbage bins in the area. People want to throw the garbage in the garbage bins, but in the absence of bins, people are forced to throw waste in the open. On Monday the team will meet JNAC officials demanding garbage bins for the area.

Anand, Afroz, Rahul, Ashwini, Gufran, Pradeep, Anjali, Abhishek, Lalit, Angad and others were also present at the event.
