Jamshedpur, April 11: Tata Main Hospital (TMH), operated by Tata Steel, has introduced a new e-shuttle service to enhance convenience for patients and their families within the hospital premises. The e-shuttle service allows individuals to travel between different buildings and locations within the TMH campus using battery-operated vehicles, with a nominal fee of Rs 10 per ride.
The e-shuttle vehicles will transport patients and their family members to various key locations within TMH, including the old building entrance, labour room, burn care unit, JGMH (new building), CCU, and OPD main gate. This initiative aims to alleviate the inconvenience faced by individuals who previously had to park their vehicles outside the hospital premises and walk a considerable distance to access hospital services.
Previously, patients and visitors had to navigate long distances on foot, causing discomfort and inconvenience. With the introduction of the e-shuttle service, patients and their families can now access facility more conveniently and comfortably. The service will operate from 10 am to 7:30 pm, with a lunch break from 2 pm to 3 pm.
The e-shuttle service will start from April 12, and passengers can directly settle bill with service provider. No separate billing will be provided for this service, ensuring a seamless and hassle-free experience for hospital visitors.
