Jamshedpur, April 1: Tata Main Hospital inaugurated a new Ophthalmology Operation Theatre to provide better healthcare services to the citizens of Jamshedpur. The inauguration event was graced by Chanakya Chaudhary, Vice President Corporate Services, Tata Steel as chief guest along with Ms Ruchi Narendran, President, Jamshedpur Eye Hospital and Dr Sudhir Rai, General Manager, Medical Services, Tata Steel, among others.
The Ophthalmology Department is now equipped with modern medical equipment like microscopes, Operation Theatre tables, Phacoemulsification system and Anesthesia machine. This is the first time that eye surgeries will be conducted at TMH.
The new facility has advanced medical equipment like Zeiss OPMI Lumera I microscope, Zeiss Opmi Lumera 300 and a modern phacoemulsification system machine – Centurion Gold Vision System.
Over 300 patients have already been operated on at the new Ophthalmology Operation Theatre.
