Jamshedpur, April 22: Earth Day was celebrated at Sheyn International School on Friday to remind the students of their duties towards ‘Mother Nature’. The School celebrated the day with a myriad of educational and fun activity.

Students of Sheyn International School joined their friends to celebrate the power of green by singing mellifluous songs in the special assembly. Students came dressed up in green attires with the theme of ‘Go Green. To mark Earth Day and emphasize upon the need to save trees, Junior students of the school were involved in different activities like dance, skit and quiz Students and staff members took pledge to protect the “Mother Earth” during the occasion.

The highlight of the day was the tree plantation in the school premises by the tiny tots.They were made to communicate few lines and slogans conveying the message of keeping surroundings clean and in turn taking care of the Mother Earth.

Principal of the school Pushpa Bhalla appreciated the efforts of young toddlers and added that we are fortunate to have born on Earth and we should join our hands together to save our mother Earth from the increasing environmental degradation and exhorted everybody to save flaura and fauna, soil and water from the unhealthy man made practices, growing industrialization and urbanisation.
