Tinplate Workers Union leaders head to Kolkata for global conference

Jamshedpur, Sep 7: Manoj Kumar Singh, General Secretary of Golmuri Tinplate Workers Union, and Vice President Parbinder Singh Sohal left for Kolkata on Sep 6, to participate in the two-day conference, ‘Base Metal Sector in India.’

The event, organized by the Industry All Global Union in Salt Lake, Kolkata, will address crucial issues such as the current state of the global base metal sector, government policies, demand, production, employment, and the latest sector trends. Discussions will also focus on the situation of migrant labourers and the national and international implications of these issues. Representatives from various countries are expected to attend the conference, which concludes on the Sep 8. The conference is seen as a significant platform for addressing both domestic and international concerns in the base metal sector.
