Tight security measures for vote counting at Kashi Sahu College Seraikela

Seraikela, Nov 22: A three-tier security system will be in place at Kashi Sahu College, Seraikela, for the vote counting process on Saturday, November 23. Entry will be strictly prohibited without a valid pass, as per the guidelines issued during a joint briefing by District Election Officer Ravi Shankar Shukla and Superintendent of Police Mukesh Kumar Lunayat.

Strict entry regulations
The District Election Officer emphasized that only authorized personnel, including candidates, election agents, counting agents, press representatives, and essential services staff with valid passes, will be permitted entry into the counting venue. The guidelines also outlined detailed instructions for vehicle parking and entry procedures to ensure smooth operations.

Parking arrangements
Parking zones have been designated to manage traffic effectively:

  • Four-wheelers of election agents, counting agents, and personnel on duty will be parked at the helipad ground behind Kashi Sahu College.
  • Two-wheelers will be parked near the canteen at the college gate.
  • Vehicles of senior officials, observers, and candidates will be allowed within the Kashi Sahu College campus.

Prohibition of electronic gadgets
To maintain security, no unauthorized electronic devices will be allowed on the campus. Mobile phones brought by officials and personnel must be deposited at designated centers set up assembly-wise. Press representatives will be permitted to carry cameras and phones to the media center, as per Election Commission guidelines.

Security and law enforcement
Superintendent of Police Mukesh Kumar Lunayat assured tight security arrangements, urging officers to follow Election Commission guidelines while maintaining coordination. A special traffic plan will prevent unauthorized parking, ensuring smooth vehicle movement around the venue.

Collaborative efforts for orderly counting
District Election Officer Shukla highlighted the successful completion of voting and called for mutual cooperation during the counting process. All deputed officers were instructed to prioritize maintaining law and order while discharging their responsibilities with diligence and professionalism.

The briefing was attended by Deputy Development Commissioner Prabhat Kumar Baridyar, Project Director ITDA Ashish Agarwal, Director DRDA Dr. Ajay Tirkey, Additional Deputy Commissioner Jaivardhan Kumar, Deputy Election Officer Surendra Oraon, and other senior officials.

The comprehensive measures aim to ensure a smooth and secure counting process, reflecting the collaborative efforts of administrative and law enforcement agencies.
