Jamshedpur, July 23: East Singhbhum district administration has decided to relax the curfew for 14 hours (6 am to 8 pm) on Friday in Jamshedpur barring the Mango Police station area, Ulidih PS, Azadnagar PS and MGM Police Station were the curfew will be relaxed for 7 hours (9 am to 4 pm).
The decision came after no such incident of violence was reported during the curfew relaxation time on Wednesday and Thursday.
Talking about the situation, DC Dr. Amitabh Kushal talking to the media persons Thursday night said the situation is under control and we hope peace will prevail in city soon.
Seven hours relaxation in Mango, Ulidih, Azadnagar and MGM Police Station area has been done seeing the residents who have been obedient towards the administrative orders and were seen indoors soon after the relaxation time was over�.
DC further said that there will be tight security during the Friday prayers amid curfew relaxation with deployments of police forces. �We are doing hour to hour assessment of the situation and there will no restriction on commercial vehicle entering the city were the liquor shops will be opened according to the relaxation timings, added Dr. Amitbah Kaushal.
Present on the occasion, SSP Anoop T Mathew said that 20 more miscreants were arrested on Thursday taking the count to 133 while no FIR was filed on the day.
�No major incidence of violence was reported on Thursday and we are keeping a tab on the situation as no one can take law in his hand. Our main priority is see that the culprits are sent behind bars and innocent are left�, added SSP Mathew.
