Ranchi, July 23: Chief Secretary Rajeev Gauba reviewed annual plans of different departments in his office at Project Building.
In the meeting, Principal Secretary of Water Resource Department informed the Chief Secretary that water policy, as directed, has been formed for Jharkhand. He informed the Chief Secretary that the problems in Radhu Reservoir plan has been shorted out.
He said that process regarding Land acquisition for the construction of Domni Nala Irrigation Plan is in progress. He informed the Chief Secretary that the work for the construction of Water reservoir has been started at Saraikela – Kharsawa but due to local reasons, it has been stopped.
The Chief Secretary directed the Principal Secretary to short out the problems immediately. Sukhdev Singh informed the Chief Secretary that the construction of Budhai Reservoir plan is under consideration before the Central Water Commission, New Delhi. The Chief Secretary directed the Principal Secretary to start working on it as soon as permission is granted.
In the meeting, the Chief Secretary directed the Forest Department to eradicate the role of middleman in the purchase of Kendu leaves so that the beneficiaries could get the real price. He asked the Department to develop such a process where the Forest Development Corporation can have access to the villagers.
The Chief Secretary also stressed at encouraging Eco- Tourism. He directed to train the local youths on the subject of Eco- Tourism by forming Eco Development Committee/ Village Development Committee so that they can work as Nature Guide to the tourists. Principal Secretary of Finance Department, Mr. Amit Khare said that Eco- Tourism should be connected with Tourist spots.
Chief Secretary directed the Drinking Water & Sanitation Department to ensure sanitation& beautification of Kanke, Gatelsood & Hatia Dams. He directed to maintain the quality of lavatories constructed under Swakshata Mission. The Chief Secretary reviewed the computer tablets to be given to std. 8 students of Kasturba School under Chief Minister Vidya Lakshmi Yojana .
School Education & Literacy Department Secretary Mrs. Aradhana Patnayak informed the Chief Secretary that this plan being passed by the Authorised Committee is in the pipeline to get consented by the Ministry. She said that mother’s name has been made mandatory in the admission form at the time of admission of a child in the educational institution .
Mrs. Patnayak informed the Chief Secretary that Special Training Centers are to be established in the 5 universities of the State & guidelines have been prepared for this.
The Chief Secretary asked the School Education &Literacy Department Secretary about the appointment process of 18,000 teachers in Secondary Education. Mrs. Patnayak informed the Chief Secretary that appointment process will start as soon as the rules are made which are in the final stage of making.
The Chief Secretary directed the Higher Education Technical Department to develop basic infrastructure at B.I.T. Sindri . He was informed by Mr. Ajay Kr. Singh, Secretary, that finishing work of classroom complex is in the final stage. He said that hostel with three hundred beds has been constructed up to plinth level.
The Chief Secretary directed the Department of Food, Public -Distribution & Consumer that National Food Security Law has to be implemented from 1 September, 2015, hence all process has to be completed.
He directed that the PDS should be run on handheld biometric device. He directed that all the PDS should be computerized after implementation of Food Security Bill.
