Jamshedpur, March 29: City police here busted an inter-state vehicle lifters� gang by arresting its three members and confiscating seven stolen bikes from their possession.
Those arrested were identified as Mohammad Shakir, Mohammad Mumtaz and Afroz.
According to SP City Prabhat Kumar, district police has launched a special campaign to curb the rise in vehicle thefts across the city. Acting on a tip-off, a police team arrested the three accused from Mango. On the basis of information furnished by the accused persons, we recovered eight bikes from different places.
The SP said the accused persons used to steal bikes from different areas in the city. The gang operates in Odisha and Jharkhand.
