Jamshedpur, March 29: A 35 year-old youth, identified as Ekadashi Singh, died of electrocution in Chhotakulia village of Baharagora on Friday.
Sources said the youth was on his way to Kastarua village all the way from Chhotakulia to meet his relative. While walking on the narrow mud path, the youth suddenly slipped, causing him to come in direct contact with a live 440 volt naked wire. He died at the scene.
Irked over the incident, hundreds of villagers gathered at the scene and demanded compensation for the next of kin of the deceased. Many political leaders were also present on this occasion.
