Three TSAF Climbers Selected for Asian Games 2026, MoU Signed to Boost Sports Development

Jamshedpur, May 4: The Tata Steel Adventure Foundation (TSAF) marked a proud achievement as three of its sport climbing athletes—Aman, Anisha, and Joga—were selected to represent India at the Asian Games 2026. The announcement was made during a special समारोह that also witnessed the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between JCAPCPL and TSAF to further strengthen their collaboration in sports development.

The event was attended by D. B. Sundara Ramam, Vice President Corporate Services, Tata Steel, as Chief Guest, while Kapil Modi, Managing Director of JCAPCPL, graced the occasion as Guest of Honour. Mukul Vinayak Choudhari, Chief Sports, Tata Steel, along with senior officials from both organisations, were also present.

The selection of three climbers for the Asian Games underscores TSAF’s growing stature in the field of sport climbing. Aman and Anisha had earlier represented the country at the Asian Games 2022, and their continued presence at the continental level highlights consistent performance. With three athletes qualifying this time, the academy has further cemented its position on the international stage.

Over the years, TSAF Climbing Academy has emerged as one of India’s leading training centres, with athletes securing more than 500 medals across district, state, national, and international competitions. The academy has also won five consecutive national championship titles and successfully hosted three international events in Jamshedpur, including two Asian Kids Championships and one Asian Youth Championship.

The renewed partnership with JCAPCPL aims to enhance athlete development, upgrade training infrastructure, and expand grassroots programmes, creating greater opportunities for local youth. The event concluded with appreciation for the athletes and a shared vision to elevate TSAF’s sporting excellence further.
