Jamshedpur, Nov 7: Early in the morning when students are gearing up to go to schools were some travel by their private vehicle, some are dependent on city buses and autos while some of the students go by school buses on selected locations.
On Friday morning three friends waiting to board a bus to Vivek Vidhyalaya in Govindpur met with an untoward incident when an electric pole they were standing beside fell on them.
The bus while on reverse gear struck electric pole and it fell on the three friends leaving the trio seriously injured.
One of the friend indentified as Aakash, class 10 students of Vivek Vidhyalaya was rushed to Tata Main Hospital (TMH) while the other two Tushar and Devdutt class 11 students were admitted to Tata Motors Hospital were their condition remained crtitical.
The event that happened near Govindpur Police Station would have seen a bigger incident took place if high intensity electric wire erected with electric pole would have fallen on the bus that was bustling with school children.
The civic bodies and administration should come forward while maintaining safety for the school children and it also depends on the school authorities to hire bus drivers who are within their limit while driving the buses.
