Jamshedpur : Under tight security arrangements candidates for all the six assembly constituencies under the Jamshedpur parliamentary constituency have started filing nomination from Friday at different locations.
East Singhbhum deputy commissioner cum district electoral officer Amitabh Kaushal said that The candidates can file nomination from 11 am till 3pm and can come to the premises of the returning officer with a maximum of four persons for filing nomination.
The nomination process is being recorded on video. Administration will also keep a watch on candidates of various national parties coming to the venue of nomination for any violation of model code of conduct.
Candidates for Jamshedpur East assembly constituency can file nomination at Dhalbhum SDO office (SDO Prem Ranjan) while those for Jamshedpur West constituency can file at ADM law and order (B. K Munda) office at the district collectorate.
Candidates for Jugsalai and Potka assembly segments can file nomination at deputy development commissioner East Singhbhum Lal Mohan Mahto office and additional deputy collector Sunil Kumar offices at the district collectorate.
Candidates for Ghatshila and Baharagora can file nomination at Ghatshila SDO Girija Shanker office and Ghatshila land revenue deputy collector David Balihar office respectively at Ghatshila.
The nominations will undergo scrutiny at all the five assembly constituencies simultaneously on November 15 while last date of withdrawal of nominations is November 17.
Kaushal said that adequate arrangements have been made for the nomination. He said that the candidate can only take four people with him while filing nomination.
�Security has been tightened owing to the nomination. Adequate forces have been deployed from,� he noted.
He said that all the parties have been asked to abide model code of conduct.
No meetings will be allowed after 10 PM in the city. Moreover special drive would carried by the district police to recover arms without license.
Making it clear that the staff deputed for election duties must attend the same without fail, he said that any employee who abstained from election duties without valid reason would be liable for disciplinary action.
