Jamshedpur, Apr 27: Following the central government’s directive to revoke visas of Pakistani nationals, three Pakistanis residing in Jamshedpur have been asked to leave India. Investigations revealed they were living in Mango and Dhatkidih areas with valid visas, regularly seeking extensions. All three individuals are elderly and live with their families. Authorities have requested guidelines from police headquarters regarding further action. Meanwhile, the Ministry of External Affairs clarified that long-term visas (LTV) granted earlier to persecuted Pakistani Hindus remain valid, while no relief is extended to Muslim Pakistani nationals. This action follows the Indian government’s decision, prompted by security concerns, to suspend visa services for Pakistani citizens. The local administration has started coordinating the departure process.
