Three nabbed for stealing edible oil in Jamshedpur

Jamshedpur, October 7: Police have arrested three accused including the buyer, in the case of theft of mustard oil in the market committee under Parsudih police station.

The arrested accused include Raja Prasad, resident of Parsudih, who committed theft, and Suraj Yadav, resident of Baghbeda, who bought stolen goods. The police have recovered the stolen mustard oil at the behest of the accused. The mini truck used in the incident has also been recovered.

The value of the stolen mustard oil was Rs 83,000. In this regard, one accused is still absconding and the police are conducting raids to arrest him.

During interrogation, the accused said that on the night of October 3, they had reached the warehouse with a mini truck and had stolen the oil kept there. The next day, the stolen oil was sold to Bansilal, a resident of Bagbera, for Rs 66,000. With the help of CCTV, the police identified the thieves and reached them. The thieves also have a criminal history in the past.
