Jamshedpur, Oct. 28: The Golmuri police arrested three persons on Wednesday for allegedly cheating people by demanding money on the pretext of offering job in a reputed company.
According to the police, arrested were from a consultancy firm and have been duping people with the promise of providing employment in an associate company of Tata Group. Addressing the media, city SP Chandan Jha said that police swung into action after Basant Kumar, a native of Mirzapur registered a case in this connection with the Golmuri police.
During the course of investigation, Jha said it was found that the accused had duped Kumar of Rs 1.5 lakh and were demanding more money. He further informed that acting on the complaint; the police arrested Ravi Kumar Singh from Rafigunj in Bihar, Chotu alias Hasim from Chandil and Chand alias Musharaf Ansari from Dhatkidih area.
One of the accused belonging to the Rakesh Admin alias Pranay Kumar gang is still at large. Police verification letter of Pintu Paswan along with five others, Aadhar card, letter pad of Air Enterprises, a Bank of India pass book and one mobile phone with SIM card were recovered by the police.
