Three for Lok Sabha ticket in Samajwadi Party

Jamshedpur: Three claimants to the party ticket for the Lok Sabha elections have come to the fore in East Singhbhum committee of Samajwadi Party even as party officials avoided making announcement on the candidate in a hurry.

Among the three party members who have placed their claim for ticket before the district and state committees include district president Rakesh Kumar, Syed Sanovar, district general secretary of the minority front and state spokesperson of the party DG Raja.

The names were brought under discussion during a meeting of committee members convened today at the residence of party�s state secretary and in-charge for Kolhan Krishna Pancholi. The meeting was chaired by the state president Vinay Singh.

District committee members were apprised of the three proposed candidates and their achievements. Vinay Singh and Krishna Pancholi apprised the state in-charge Kashinath Yadav of the sentiments of committee members and their opinion on the candidature of the three party members.

�We have demanded that the name of party candidate be announced as soon as possible. Senior leader Manohar Yadav was also informed about the names. The final decision in this regard is likely to be made in a day or two,� said the state president.

Today�s marathon meeting was held for over three hours during which various election issues were discussed in detail by the members. Suggestions were also sought for ensuring victory of party candidates in the Lok Sabha polls.
