Three kg IED defused

Chaibasa: In a significant operation, security forces successfully averted a potential threat posed by the banned CPI Maoist Naxalite organization in the forest between Patatarob and Tumbahaka under Tonto police station. A three kg Improvised Explosive Device (IED) bomb, strategically planted to target security forces, was discovered and subsequently neutralized for safety reasons.

The operation, carried out by a team formed by the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), involved the use of a bomb disposal squad to safely destroy the explosive device at its location. The timely intervention of the security forces prevented any harm or damage that could have been inflicted by the planted bomb.

This incident follows a similar successful operation on December 26, where the CRPF’s operation team recovered a four kg IED bomb from the Maradiri forest in the Goilkera police station area.
