Three Jamshedpur youths drown in two separate incidents

Jamshedpur: Tragedy struck on Vishwakarma Puja as three youths were drowned in two separate incidents in and around steel city last ( Tuesday) evening. 

In one of the incidents, bodies of two youths identified as Shamim-ul-Haque ( 25), a resident of Old Purulia Road at Azadnagar in  Mango and Zulfikar Hussain ( 38), a resident of Khawaja Colony, Golmuri were recovered from Dimna lake on Tuesday evening while Kadma police recovered body of an unidentified youth from the banks of river Kharkai  late in the night.    


In the Dimna lake incident divers were pressed to recover both the bodies. Dimna lake falls under Bodam thana area.

Sources said a group of about eight  youths had come to Dimna lake last evening at around 5 pm for celebrating a party . ” As per our investigation,  the youths drank and later went to the lake to take bath during which two of them drowned. Cops from Bodam thana soon rushed to the spot and unable to find the bodies, they pressed two divers for search operation. The bodies were recovered late in the evening, ” a police official said.

Police sources said Zulfikar Hussain had come to Jamshedpur from Saudi Arabia, where he used to work in a private firm.
