Jamshedpur : A yet another road mishap, three teenaged riders were injured as they hit a vehicle while trying to escape from a police checking on Dimna Road under Olidih police station area in Mango.
The injured were rushed to MGM Medical College and Hospital, but as condition of two of them was serious they were shifted to Tata Main Hospital immediately.
Those who sustained serious injuries were identified as Mohammed Imran (14) and Mohammed Tinku (15). The third one was identified as Mohammed Riyaz (14) who is undergoing treatment at the medical college hospital.
All the three victims are residents of Hayatnagar in Olidih in Mango and students of a local Urdu medium school.
The accident took place at about 11 am when the trio were proceeding toward Mango Chowk by riding a scooty.
As soon as the mishap took place the driver of the mini-truck fled the spot having left the vehicle at the spot.
According to a relative of one of the injured, the mishap victim Riyaz was riding the scooty with Tinku and Imran were pillion riders. After emerging from Hayatnagar, they took to the Dimna Road for reaching Mango Chowk, but after riding a while Riyaz, who owned the scooty, saw a police checking point.
They tried to escape and hit the vehicle.
Officer-in-charge, Olidih police station, Mahesh Prasad said that the mini-truck driver was not at all responsible for the mishap.
