Chowka, Feb 14: A Sumo SUV bearing registration # 05 Q 4814 hit a road bridge on NH 33 near Bhuinyadih under Chandil police station about 9:30 am on Sunday. Two women traveling in the vehicle received serious injuries while two others sustained minor wounds. The position of the SUV after the accident was such that it was left dangling. If it had fallen down the bridge the situation would have been serious. AJSU Party central secretary and Janseva Hi Lakshya founder Harelal Mahto’s siblings Debraj Mahto, Amit Mahto, Sumit Mahto and others dialed 108 and summoned HLM Enterprises’ ambulance and sent the wounded to Jamshedpur for better treatment.
The Sumo SUV driver stated that he was taking the occupants from Dimna to Chandil Dam for picnic. A container truck traveling behind the vehicle was about to hit it when he swerved to the left to avoid the crash that resulted in the accident.
