Three injured in firing in Jamshedpur

Jamshedpur: In a startling incident on Thursday morning, the tranquility of Sidhu-Kanhu Maidan in Bagbera Thana area was shattered as four bike-borne assailants unleashed a barrage of gunshots, targeting an alleged local goon. The confrontation left three individuals injured, including the alleged target and two innocent bystanders, one of whom is identified as a middle-aged woman. The wounded have been rushed to Tata Main Hospital for medical attention.

The purported target of the attack, identified as Monu Singh, is reported to be associated with gangster Akhilesh Singh’s criminal network. The assailants, riding two motorcycles, approached the vicinity of Sidhu-Kanhu Maidan around 11 am, where Monu Singh was supervising construction work on his residence. Without warning, they opened fire indiscriminately, causing chaos and panic in the area. Tragically, the firing also resulted in the unintended injury of two unsuspecting passersby.

Following their brazen assault, the criminals fled the scene, leaving behind confusion and unanswered questions. The authorities, led by the Officer-in-Charge of Bagbera Thana, have launched an intensive investigation into the incident. Despite their efforts, the identities of the attackers and their motivations remain shrouded in mystery.
