Jamshedpur: Mystery surrounds the recovery of three dead bodies from near railway tracks under Chakradharpur Railway Division within a span of 45 days.
Today an unidentified body of a woman was recovered from near the rail tracks at Ulihatu situated between Sukra rail crossing and Maluka station. The police is trying to ascertain the identity of the woman and to find out if it�s a case of murder or suicide.
On November 4, the rail police had recovered the body of an elderly woman from near the rail tracks of Kendposi-Maluka section at Marangada. The body of the woman was identified as Boti Hembram (52 years) a resident of Siyajo village in Hat Gamharia. The deceased�s son Pradhan Hembram reported that his mother had suddenly disappeared from home. He said that on the day of her disappearance, Jomnama festival was being celebrated at the village.
Boti Hembram, according to her son, had gone to a neighbor�s house in the evening to attend a puja. Khichdi had been served on the occasion. The police recovered a packet of khichdi from the scene where the body had been recovered.
Earlier, on October 4, the mutilated body of a 40 year old woman was recovered from the tracks near Samparmutu. The deceased could not be identified. Later her funeral rites were performed.
