Three-day theatre festival inaugurated at Ravindra Bhavan

Jamshedpur: A three-day theatre festival was inaugurated at Ravindra Bhavan in Sakchi on Friday under the aegis of Tagore Society. A total of four popular Bengali plays are to be staged during the festival.

The artists of Theatre Artists� of Jamshedpur (TAJ) also participated in the festival. They staged Jyotirindranath Tagore�s Alik Babu directed by Tushar Dasgupta.

According to the organizers, a group from Ranchi Union Club will perform Nirup Mitra�s Phulbagan directed by Rathin Chatterjee tomorrow followed by BimalKar�s Ghatak.

On June 3, Kolkata-based theatre group Nandikar will present Panchajanya directed by Sohini Sengupta. Sengupta is the daughter of veteran theatre icon Rudra prasad Sengupta.
