Mail News Service

Jamshedpur, May 30: Tata Motors’ Jamshedpur plant will experience a block closure from May 31 to June 2. Following two consecutive days of closure, Sunday, June 2, being a weekly holiday, operations will resume on June 3. This decision comes amidst a decline in demand for commercial vehicles, prompting Tata Motors to implement temporary shutdowns.

A circular issued by Tata Motors Plant Head Ravindra Kulkarni announced the closure, during which no employee will be granted leave. While employees will receive 50 percent of their salary, the remaining 50 percent will be deducted.

The recurrent block closures have posed financial challenges for employees and raised concerns among staff members.
