Three day Bhumij language workshop concludes

Jamshedpur, Sept 8: A three day workshop for Bhumij language teachers organized under the joint aegis of Tribal Culture Society Jamshedpur and Oyon Akhara Tirildih concluded on Sunday.

Addressing the programme, Shiv Shankar Kandeyong, one of the speakers said the programme aimed at conserving and promoting Bhumij language. In the first sate, a total of 20 centres are being opened. The participants would be trained in Bhumij language and traditional musical instruments, he said.

Many members of Bhumij community were present during the programme. They included Shatrughan Sardar, Geetamani Singh, Sidheshwar Sardar, Lusku Samad, Yudhisthir Sardar, Biren Tiu, Arsi Tudu and Shankar Hembrom.
