Three cattle smugglers nabbed, three cows rescued

Jamshedpur, Feb 10: Bistupur police today nabbed three persons from Mayurbhanj district of Odisha with three cows in a car while one of their accomplice managed to flee from the spot. 


The three arrested accused include Sheikh Usman, Sheikh Dilawar and Dipu Giri, all from Mayurbhanj district of Odisha. A case under cruelty to animal Act. 

According to Bistupur thana inspector Bishnu Prasad Raut, at the Bistupur traffic signal they saw a white coloured car moving towards Jugsalai with great speed. They managed to stop the car through Tiger mobile bike borne squad and caught hold of three persons while one managed to flee leaving the car. 


From the back portion of the car police recovered three cows who were kept under chain. 
According to report, cow traders from Odisha and Bengal bring cows for sale in Dhatkidih, Mango, Jugsalai and Barinagar, Kadma, Kapali and Parsudih thana areas. 
In the last two months city police has nabbed 11 cattle traders from Odisha.
