Three carats and cash burgled from liquor shop in Jamshedpur

Jamshedpur, October 25: Unidentified thieves committed theft by breaking the ventilator of a government liquor shop located near Kali Mandir under Baghbera police station.

The incident came to light when the salesman working at the liquor shop arrived on Wednesday morning to open the shop and saw the ventilator of the shop was broken.

This information was immediately given to the Excise Department. According to the information received, the thieves took away  Rs 25,000 in cash and three boxes of liquor worth about Rs 24000. As soon as the information was received, the Excise Department team reached the spot, investigated the matter and started taking further action.

Excise Department Inspector Satyendra Kumar said that at present an FIR has been lodged against unknown thieves at Baghbera police station. He told that Tuesday was declared a dry day due to Vijayadashami.
