Jamshedpur, Aug 17: In a breakthrough, police have arrested three accused involved in the gang rape of a woman of MGM police station area. The accused have been identified as Raju Karmakar, Vishwanath Dhibar and Deven Dhibar. Mithilesh Kumar Singh, in-charge of MGM police station said that all the accused have confessed their crime. The bike of the accused has also been confiscated by the police. The accused fled on the bike after the incident.
On the complaint of the woman, an FIR against six unknown persons was registered at MGM police station. In the complaint given to the police, the woman said that she had gone out of the house for defecation on the night of August 11. Six people had dragged her to some distance from the house. She was raped by six people. Her mobile was also snatched away. After the matter reached MGM police station, police rushed to the spot and started investigation. On the basis of the woman’s mobile, the police were trying to reach the accused. The woman’s husband has been in jail for two years for the murder of his mother. The police had also taken information about the matter from the people living near the woman’s house.
